A great amp for new guitarists, and surprisingly versatile for her price and size.

What to love about this amp

This baby has a straight forward configuration with only three knobs: Volume, Tone and Overdrive. If you think that makes her a child’s toy, think again. Plug her in and this baby will take you to places. The fact that she has but three knobs makes her the most beginner-friendly tube amp in the market. You can choose to run her on the 9-volt battery- it lasts for quite a journey- or you can plug her into the power socket. Moreover, her size makes it easy as cake to pack her up for travels. You can rock this baby whenever you want, wherever you go.

She’s a little cranking box that snarls, screams and whispers. Of course, don’t expect her to be loud enough to feed three hundred screaming metal fans. The Danelectro N10B Battery Powered Amp is most ideally used as a practice amp, even for recording, or at most in a small intimate gig. She gives enough room for you to experiment with different genres: metal, punk, blues, etc. but don’t expect her to give you a ton of effects. You would be better off pairing her up with one or two pedals.

The amount of distortion this amp gives when on overdrive is enough to punk up your ballads, but if you don’t need all that extra noise you can simply turn up the volume knob. As with other tube amps, the Danelectro N10B gives more distortion when her volume goes up. And if you feel like going clean, simply turn the overdrive knob back to zero and this baby will sound as sweet as honey. Don’t expect her to have a great deal of clean headroom though.

One more thing: this baby is built to last!
